Our mission
The LITTLE GAVELS mission is to break down legal issues using fun poems and engaging illustrations, so that children can begin to understand the laws that affect them every day.
Do you really think kids understand this stuff?
Absolutely. Intellectual property, contracts, and other legal issues are not all rocket science. There have just been barriers to entry for so long that we think these topics are too complex for "the layperson," whatever that means. Sure, a law degree definitely helps when you're in front of a judge, but the basic concepts in the LITTLE GAVELS books are in our everyday lives. Kids are making deals, watching copyright-protected shows, and recognizing logos from toddlerhood.
